Course Completion Criteria

October 27, 2021 | 1 min read

Course Completion Criteria defines what must happen before a course is marked complete for a Trainee. This is set while creating or editing a course.

Available Criteria

  • When Course Duration Ends – The course is marked complete automatically when the Trainee’s enrollment period expires, regardless of how much content was viewed.
Note: The course is considered complete when the enrollment duration ends even if the Trainee has not viewed any content.
  • When Course Progress is 100% – The course is marked complete when the Trainee has viewed all content items.
  • Based on Assignment and/or Exam Passing Percentage – The course is marked complete when the Trainee achieves the required passing score in the assigned assessments.

Certificate Issuance

If a certificate template is attached to the course, it is issued automatically and emailed to the Trainee as soon as the completion criteria is met. See Issue Certificate Automatically for setup steps.
