Once roles and courses are tagged, two tools help you manage the skill catalogue and see where it falls short: Uncovered Skills, and the Skills and Skill Sets library.
Uncovered Skills
Uncovered Skills compares your roles’ confirmed skill requirements with your course tags, showing where your training catalogue has gaps.
Go to Settings → Skills → Workflow → Uncovered Skills.
- Top tiles: the share of required skills covered by a course, the number of skills with no course, and the number of courses below the required level.
- Left: roles with gaps – filter by All gaps, No course or Below level, and search by skill name. Each role shows its coverage % and how many skills remain.
- Right: the selected role’s uncovered skills, with the required level, the best course available and the gap type – No course (nothing teaches it) or Below level (a course teaches it, but not to the level required).

Click Edit role to adjust that role’s requirements.
Skills and Skill Sets Library
The library holds every skill in use, whether created by AI or added by hand. Skills are grouped into skill sets (for example Leadership or Safety).
Skills – go to Settings → Skills → Skills. Search by name or filter by skill set. The list shows each skill’s set, how many roles require it, how many courses are tagged with it (hover to see them) and its source (AI or Manual). New Skill adds one; click an existing skill to rename it, move it to another set, or delete it – renaming updates every role, course and trainee that uses it, and a skill in use can’t be deleted.
Skill Sets – go to Settings → Skills → Skill Sets. New Skill Set, rename, or delete a set. A set in use can’t be deleted – move or delete its skills first.
Import and export (CSV) – use Import and Export on the Skills tab.
- Skills: Skill, Skill Set (a new skill set is created if it doesn’t exist).
- Skill Sets: Skill Set.
- Skill requirements by role: Department, Designation, Skill, Required Rating (the level name from the rating scale, for example Beginner). An existing row for the same role and skill is updated.
Download the sample file from the import panel; rows that can’t be imported are listed in a downloadable report with the reason.
Assign Skills to Trainees
Assign a skill directly to a trainee, one at a time or in bulk, without changing what their role requires.
Go to Settings → Skills → Trainees (or a trainee’s profile → Skills tab) and select a trainee.
- See how many required skills they meet, each skill’s achieved and required level, and its status (Done, n levels below, Not achieved yet).
- Click the pencil to set the achieved level, or to change the required level for this trainee only.
- Click Assign Skill to add a skill that isn’t already required.

In bulk: Users → Import / Bulk Action → Assign Skills. Download the sample CSV, fill in each trainee’s email, skill and rating, and import it.
