How to design gamification for your LMS: 5 steps
Step 1. Start with the behaviour you want. Name the specific behaviour that matters – starting the course within 48 hours of assignment, completing weekly, scoring above 80% on the assessment, returning the next day. Mechanics follow the behaviour you are targeting, not the other way round. “We want to add gamification” is not a design brief. “We want to close the first-module drop-off gap” is.
