AlphaLearn can automatically send email reminders and show a dashboard pop-up to learners who have not yet completed a Learning Object, based on how many days remain before it expires. Reminders can be configured when creating a new Learning Object or by updating the settings of an existing one.
Set Up Reminders
- Open the Learning Object settings.
- In the Send Expiry Reminder Email & Show Pop-up field, enter the number of days before expiry when you want reminders to be sent. Separate multiple values with a comma.
Example: If a learner is enrolled in a 30-day Learning Object and you enter
15, 7, they will receive reminder emails 15 days and 7 days before it expires — two emails in total.
How the Pop-up Works
On the days a reminder is triggered, the learner also sees a pop-up notification on their dashboard. If they dismiss it, it will not reappear for the rest of that day — but it will show again the next time they log in, until the Learning Object is completed.
